Custom battery connectors for battery packs can be made to order and cut on our precision laser line and specialised slitting, cutting and stamping equipment from coil or sheet.
Datum’s standard connectors, strips and tabs are stamped or slit and cut from coil to component. Produced on production lines – Manufacturing 1000’s per hour. We use Nickel plated Steel or Nickel grade 200/201, which conforms to the ASTM B162 standard. It is commercially pure (99.6% and higher) with optimised mechanical properties and resistant to a range of corrosive media.
Datum crimps provide a faster, more cost-effective alternative to soldering in battery pack manufacturing. By collaborating closely with our customers and studying their production work flows, we designed our crimps to eliminate bottlenecks in key stages of assembly.
Our parts can be crimped onto any pre-crimped or pre-assembled wire, making them flexible and easy to integrate into existing processes.
Custom busbars for battery packs can be manufactured to specification – using our precision laser line for rapid prototyping and dedicated tooling and stamping facilities for high volume production.
In series production, our tooling and stamping capabilities enable high-speed, repeatable manufacturing with tight tolerances and excellent surface quality. We also offer electroplating to enhance conductivity, corrosion resistance, and component performance.
